The latest update for Samsung Galaxy C7 will provide the smartphone users with added security measures. Reports claimed that the software firm Egis Technology recently launched new versions of the fingerprint sensors ET320, which will now be implemented in the selected models of Galaxy C7 device.
Mobile ID World reported that the Egis biometric technology will integrate with the Samsung's new phone in order to provide high-end security to the users. The CEO and chairman of Egis Technology Steve Ro said that the latest invention will be the second design set in collaboration with the South Korean giant.
"We believe that this further solidifies our position as one of the top fingerprint sensor providers in the market," said Steve as reported by Business Wire. Going forward, we plan to expand our collaboration with Samsung Electronics as well as continue to advance our development of simpler, stronger, and more accurate biometric authentication solutions."
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Galaxy C7 phone consists of a 5.7-inch screen and Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 ppi. The Bit Bag reported that the new Samsung device also sports an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with a 4 GB of RAM. The gadget also consists of a micro SD card with 128 GB expandable storage option.
As far as camera specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy C7 features a 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera. The camera sports functionalities like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. The Galaxy C7 also has an enormous non-removable Li-Ion 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology in order to provide faster charging capability.
In addition, the Samsung device consists of other specs like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity options, proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 has been priced at $395 for the base model and is available in Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold color options.
