Square Enix has just revealed the final look for the "Final Fantasy XV" packaging art for North America.

The game publisher has shown the game's box art, featuring Noctis, Prompto, Gladio and Ignis in an action-packed group shot. Three ominous figures are also seen in the background.

Square Enix's Senior Product Marketing Manager Mat Kishimoto explained that the "shadowy figures" in the background play a vital role in both the game and the CG movie "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy."

"One bit of information that hasn't been revealed quite yet, the figures in the background," Kishimoto said on the Square Enix blog. "It's much more fun for you guys to find out for yourselves vs. me spoiling anything!"

There are fans, however, who prefer a cleaner look over the picture of the "Final Fantasy" boys. Square Enix has given the perfect solution for that, as the box art for "Final Fantasy XV" is completely reversible, with the "Final Fantasy XV" logo found on the other side of the cover.

The final look of the box art has come a long way since its first reveal at E3 last month. Kishimoto explained that everyone has given their inputs on what the cover should look like, including game director Hajime Tabata and "Kingsglaive" director Takeshi Nozue.

"While E3 was taking place, I had actually sent the work in progress files to the BD2 Art Team," Kishimoto said. "And immediately, artist Yusaku Nakaaki and art director Yusuke Naora began making some tweaks and recommendations."

The Japanese cover art was revealed earlier than the North American one, and exhibits a more laidback scene featuring Noctis and his gang.

The Deluxe and Ultimate Collector's Edition box art has a fancier feel, featuring the art of famous "Final Fantasy" artist Yoshitaka Amano.

"Final Fantasy XV" will be released on September 30.
