Given that "Pokémon Go" fans are willing to pay $200 more to get the game's wearable device, reports claimed that few compatible apps for the Apple Watch and Android Wear might soon be a reality.
I4U News reported that California's Niantic Labs might release new "Pokémon Go" apps for the Apple Watch and the Android Wear. Reports claimed that these smartwatch apps will allow all the players to spot a nearby Pokémon very easily without the help of their smartphones.
The Apple Watch or Android Wear device will reportedly vibrate and make the players aware when they walk by a Pokémon or if they are near to the game locations. The Apple Watch app will also alert the gamers for PokeStop, Gym or new Pokémons within their range.
Furthermore, Apple Insider reported that the rumors about "Pokémon Go" compatibility with the Apple Watch have surfaced as currently, the game is earning Apple's App Store 3x times as much money as Nintendo. Reports claimed that this increase in App Store installations has paved the way for new Apple Watch compatible applications.
The "Pokémon Go" game is available for free on the iOS store, but players need to buy virtual currency via in-app purchases in order to collect the game's pocket monsters. As a result, the game's compatibility with the Apple Watch is being considered as a huge opportunity to increase revenue.
Meanwhile, CIOL cited that Nintendo's Pokémon Go Plus wearable device sold out completely within hours of its release. As the next lot of the wearable will be shipped in three weeks, reports claimed that currently, it has 34 bids with a $200 price tag.
Seeing the success of Nintendo's Pokémon Go smartwatches, reports hinted that the Apple Watch and Android Wear app might soon be made a reality by the game developers.
