Polygon reported that the gameplay of the "XCOM 2" consists of many dangerous missions led by Lily and the military squad with the aid of robotic mechs. The story of the latest DLC will revolve around Chief Engineer, Lily, and her quest at the Advent's Lost Towers after she joins the squad. The latest DLC might be one of the most dramatic confrontations in the history of the gaming series.

The gameplay of the latest installment of "XCOM" is stated to feature new soldiers with unique combat capabilities, reported Game-Debate. There are reports that during their mission with Lily, players will be able to find new robot allies. The robotic mechs are reported to be more like the MEC troopers, who will aid the players in their fight with the allies.

Even though there are rumors that "XCOM 2" would be the last part of the DLC, its developers have not ruled out the possibility of full expansion packs in the near future.
