As fans continue to wait for clearer details of "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U release date, a recent update hinted that it may take longer.
If the game's arrival would be delayed, what could be the reasons behind it? Does the game's development process really take longer compared to its competitors?
In an interview with Kotaku, Nintendo's longtime chief game designer Shigeru Miyamoto revealed about feeling better if he does not have to give a specific date for "The Legend of Zelda" release date, not just for the Wii U gaming console.
"First of all, it would be great if I didn't have to put a release date out at all," he said. "But I have to."
Series producer Eiji Aonuma suggested that the delay in the game's availability can be attributed to their desire to make each better from the last.
"When we think about the release period for any Zelda game, we really want to get it out as soon as possible so that everybody can play and experience it," Aonuma dished. "But every time we make a Zelda, we want to make something new."
"It's hard to gauge how long that's going to take," Aonuma added about "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U release date. "And it's also hard to gauge at what point whatever we consider to be new is done."
Based on record, it can be noted that whenever a major "Zelda" game is set for release, it takes at least another year before it finally comes out.
In the meantime, PC Advisor reported that the upcoming Nintendo game will be launched in the UK by March, 2017.
However, this "The Legend of Zelda" release date will not be dedicated only for Wii U, but also for the highly-anticipated Nintendo NX.
