The highlights for this week's Android news include the official name of Android N and more updates on "Pokeomon GO."

First, Android Authority reported that Microsoft in planning to acquire LinkedIn for $26.2 billion. For those who not familiar with the app, LinkedIn is where the professionals post their resumes.

This is still unclear whether the companies will merge or if the organizational structure will be unified. However, this exciting acquisition may bring wider opportunities for both of the companies.

Microsoft also released Minecraft Realms, which allow their users to "buy servers directly from Microsoft to play Minecraft and also includes cross-platform support between mobile, PC, and Gear VR." The consoles are also expected to be out soon.

Also, another latest news is the release of "Pokemon GO" not just in iOS, but in Android as well. It will also go with a wristband-like gadget that will allow the players to feel like a real trainer by catching Pokemon in the real environment integrated into the digital world for the price of $34.99.

Gamespot wrote that the "Pokemon GO" beta version is already available in the USA. While these might sound exciting to the tech-savvy and hardcore gamers, another Android news has made the headlines last week.

Mashable reported that the official name of Android N is released. However, it looks like Google is only joking when they announced that it will be Namey McNameface.

According to the tech website, the name is a reference to Boaty McBoatface, the name the public has chosen for a British $200 million research vessel in April.

This pretty sums up the headlines about Android. More news about Androids apps in the coming weeks so please stay tuned.
