Microsoft has recently announced more games coming to the Xbox One as part of the console's backwards compatibility program.

Mircosoft's director of programming, Larry Hryb, also known for his Xbox Live gamertag "Major Nelson", announced on Twitter that "Left 4 Dead," "Portal 2," "Flashback," "Babel Rising," and "Brain Challenge" are added to the backwards compatibility list starting June 16.

Last week, Microsoft added "XCOM: Enemy Within," Foul Play," "Monopoly Plus" and "Sega Bass Fishing" to the list.

Hryb said on his blog that the Xbox One Backward Compatibility is one of the most popular features in the new Xbox One Experience update. Microsoft has been gradually adding Xbox 360 titles to the growing library of games.

The list includes "Assassin's Creed II," "Fable II and III," "Phantasy Star II," and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings."

"Bioshock," "Bioshock 2" and "Bioshock Infinite" is also confirmed to be included in the program, according to Gamespot.

New games will be added to the program as soon as they are ready, and do not follow a set schedule, Gamespot reported.

The Xbox Backwards Compatibility program allows players to play their favorite Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One at no additional cost, which means players do not need to pay for anything if they already have the game.

The program works on both disc-based and digital games. Players can keep their oroginal Xbox 360 saves, DLC's, achievements and Gamerscore, and play multiplayer with friends regardless of which console they are playing on.

Microsoft is also running a poll on top Xbox 360 games players want to see on the Xbox One. Top five games are "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," "Skyrim," (which will be remastered for next-gen consoles by Bethesda this fall) "Red Dead Redemption" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 and 2."
