OnePlus, the Chinese company known for its products, has just launched its 2016 flagship product and the update to last year's model - OnePlus 3.
One of the significant changes between the old and the new OnePlus model is perhaps its design. The newest model features a metallic unibody design, making it look more sleek and sophisticated. It is also lighter and slimmer and the camera lens protrudes from the rear cover.
The change in the resolution of the camera is the biggest change from the old model, according to International Business Times. The old OnePlus 2 handsets had a 13-megapixel rear camera.
OnePlus 3 now boasts of a 16-megapixel sensor from Sony, can shoot 4K video, and has RAW support. OnePlus 3 also comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera with a smile mode to allow auto - capture of images without pressing any button.
The recent OnePlus 3 also gets a 2 GB boost on the RAM and now has 6 GB RAM compared to 4 GB of OnePlus 2. The processor has also been upgraded to Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 chipset providing a fluid and swift flow of operations.
Although both models of OnePlus has 5.5-inch displays with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, the OnePlus 3 uses AMOLED panel. The screen is now brighter and can be viewed even in direct sunlight.
The newest model of OnePlus mobile also features a new fingerprint sensor, which has been improved from last year's OnePlus 2 model. It also provides users with a fast charging system called Dash charge, which boosts the battery by 60 percent in just 20 minutes.
The latest model of OnePlus is available at $399 from the company's outlets. Although OnePlus 2 might be appealing to some users with a price of $299, it's better to shift to the new model for better user experiences.
