Apart from its peppery price-tag, the newest iPad 3 is facing other significant drawbacks, as well. New owners have reported “heat” issues from the latest Apple tablet, making it hard to handle. In fact, the heating problems are so vivid that children refuse to use the new iPad, while in other cases, the heat literally shuts down the device.

The overheating of the device has been a problem for previous models as well, but things have gone out of hand with the newest model. Reportedly, the overheating issues are related to the larger battery, Retina display and quadcore graphics, components that have been upgraded for the iPad 3. This is a major drawback, because, just like all Apple iOS mobile products, the iPad 3 does not have a fan.

According to the users, whenever the new ipad overheats, the device broadcasts a message to its users, saying, “the iPad needs to cool down”.

The battery and the quad-core graphics cause the iPad to produce excessive heat, just like in laptops. One way to cool down the device is by decreasing the screen brightness.

Some users have also experienced problems with sweating palms due to the device’s overheating. Numerous iPad fans agree that the tablet is causing too much trouble. It could lead users into returning the device back to stores and claiming their money back, which will dramatically affect Apple’s image.
