The release date of the highly anticipated post-apocalyptic role-playing game "Horizon: Zero Dawn" is delayed, developer Guerrilla Games confirmed.

The developer released a new trailer for "Horizon: Zero Dawn" today, along with an announcement that the release date of the game will be pushed back to February 2017.

Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst said on the Playstation Blog that it was a hard decision for the team to make, knowing that a lot of players are eagerly waiting for the game to come out. "However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for." Hulst said.

The new trailer focused on the game's protagonist Aloy, who has to search for her identity and her origin after being banished. Apart from robotic dinosaurs, Alon will also face human enemies with masks, but it was not revealed in the trailer what role these beings play in the game.

Guerrilla Games promised to keep the fans in the loop by giving out more details and videos as the release date draws near.

In other "Horizon: Zero Dawn" news, the Collector's Edition of the game was also unveiled today, IGN reports. The special bundle includes a 9" Aloy Statue by Gentle Giant, a steelbook case, "The Art of Horizon Zero Dawn" 48-page art book, and a voucher for an exclusive dynamic theme for the Playstation 4.

There are also exclusive in-game items like the Carja Storm Ranger and Banuk Trailblazer outfits, each with their own matching bows, and special item packs for Aloy, like the Banuk Traveller Pack, Carja Trader Pack, Nora Keeper Pack and Nora Machine Trapper Pack.

Amazon has already listed the Collector's Edition on its site, and is now available for pre-order for $199.99.

"Horizon: Zero Dawn" will be launched exclusively on the Playstation 4 in February, 2017.
