The long-awaited new iPad finally hit the market worldwide on Friday, March 16, making Apple fans around the world go crazy.

David Tarasenko, a construction manager from Sydney, Australia was the first lucky buyer of the new iPad. From that time, store openings across Australia and Asia continued before European stores opened at 8 a.m. local time.

In San Francisco, before one of Apple's flagship stores, many customers waited in light rain, holding umbrellas and looking into their iPhones.
