Civilization 6 is coming to PC on October 21 and game director Ed Beech stated that players can widen their strategies in building different cities.

"We want to stop players from falling into patterns," CNET quoted him as saying. "We want players to build their empires differently every time."

As for the gameplay, he also added that gamers "can do bombing raids on key industrial districts." Like in real life, the importance of "when and where" tactics must be applied to make the invasion successful.

More than City Building, the game developers are reportedly working on a new thing called "active research" which might be present in Civilization 6. Beech also explained that this might be helpful in harboring scientific knowledge for the development of a specific area.

Additionally, for the concept, the cities for the new version will unfold differently every time and player may unlock the boosts at any given time as well. They can also defend and slay other cities by using different methods in the playthrough.

"We're adding these levels of distinction to the way you settle the world," Beech said, with the intention of bringing new experiences to gamers in terms of culture, defense, science and all that are important to the progress of the cities.

On the other hand, Polygon wrote that the big changes done in Civilization 6 did not come easy. It looks like it was thoroughly studied because the previous version was released around 6 years ago.
