LG has taken a big plunge in the highly competitive smartphone market by launching Optimus 4X, a smartphone that boasts of super bright screen and a very fast processor. Most importantly, the device offers glasses-free 3D experience.

Since 3D flatscreens and TVs have already made their way into homes, it was only a matter of time until this sort of technology was brought to smaller devices as well, such as personal computers, laptops, tablets or even smartphones.

By launching Optimus 4X at Mobile World Congress 2012, LG showed the world that it is serious about including 3D technology in its future line of smartphones.

The latest 3D smartphone consists of a thin and light 4.3 inch screen, which incorporates glasses-free 3D technology. At the MWC, LG demonstrated their latest product by running “Gulliver’s Travels” and “Let’s Golf 2” on the device.
