The iPad 3 is scheduled for debut just a few hours away but for those who cannot help but wonder what features the new Apple tablet will boast of, Aatma Studio Animation has come up with something far better: a concept video illustrating an amazingly advanced “iPad 3” design. The San Francisco-based company specializes in digital content and 3-D animation for movies, television and advertising agencies.

In just three days since being published on the YouTube, iPad 3 concept video went viral and reached 1.7 million views, fascinating the entire world. The video is created almost entirely out of CGI effects and is extremely inspiring to watch in motion, even though it’s obvious that it is not a real product.

The Aatma Studio concept video shows a man opening up the display of the new iPad 3, revealing an edge-to-edge retina display. Moreover, the video uses the entire front face of the iPad to display the apps, videos, photos and games, without leaving any edge.

Going even further, the concept video shows off a feature that allows users to physically connect two iPad 3 screens via internal magnets and digitally connect them through near-field communication (NFC) technology. This amazing idea creates a dual-screen effect, potentially doubling the screen size for watching movies or playing games.

Lastly, the most advanced concept in the video features holograms. Showing two people using connected third-generation iPads to play professional football, the video envisions hologram controls projected on a flat surface to the sides of the tablets. With such hologram controls, the users can use the iPad like a standard game controller, tapping and moving virtual buttons on the table in order to control the virtual players. The concept video does not claim to show features the iPad 3 will actually have, but rather to show what the device could do.
