India has become the melting pot of smartphone manufacturers and tech companies. Recently, the demand to manufacture and produce or launch a product there has been a trend. Following this trend is another China-based manufacturer with the name "Coolpad." The Chinese company has announced their plan to produce one million "made in China" smartphones with the partnership of Videocon in Aurangabad during the first half of India.

The said announcement, according to the Chinese manufacturer's statement, is to be in co-ordinance with the Indian Government's Vision of "Make in India" and other big projects and partnerships that will not only bring big business to the country, but will provide their citizens with employment opportunities as well.

According to Coolpad Group Chairman and former CEO Guo Deying, they have already announced last October about investing over $300 million USD on manufacturing, R&D and ID design in India. And as a testament to their commitment to India, they are proud to announce that the first part of their investment is manufacturing one million "Made in India" Coolpad smartphones during the first half of the year 2016.

Deying adds that their Indian partner Videocon, whose facility is in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, will be the ones to manufacture the said devices. He also adds that their company's leadership team has already been to the site and has assessed and finalised how much support and technical expertise are needed for the manufacturing of their Coolpad phones.

Meanwhile, Coolpad India has earlier announced that their Coolpad Note 3's black variant, which has been highly successful since its launch, will now be made available exclusively on Amazon starting today. It could be recalled that the Note 3's white variant was first launched in October.

Coolpad smartphones are gaining renown in the smartphone industry for having a cutting edge technology at affordable prices.
