Samsung has released their new Samsung gear S2 and it has been seen at store shelves across the US and is soon to be available in the UK. According to a press release, this new Gear 2 is a sleek watch that comes with an assortment of styles and colors and will be unique among the other smartwatches out in the market right now.

There's also a huge difference compared to the other smartwatches that Samsung has produced in the past. Samsung Gear 2 also is noticeably more of a typical sport watch than a gadget which might come off as surprising to some.

Though Samsung Gear S2 is said to function similarly to Moto 360 or Apple watch, Samsung has made an enormous effort to make the user's interaction with their latest smartwatch easier. The Gear 2 allows user to bounce around its Tizen OS using the rotating bezel that gives off a natural feeling for the user.

Users will find themselves able to choose Samsung Gear S2 between two versions namely the regular Gear 2 and the classic Gear 2. The regular Gear 2 weighs 47 grams and will be 42.3 x 49.8 x 11.4 mm while the classic Gear 2 which is smaller measures 39.9 x 43.6 x 11.4 mm and weighs 42 grams.

The regular Samsung Gear S2 comes either with or without 3G connectivity. The variation without 3G has 250 mAh batteries that can last from 2 to 3 days. Meanwhile, the variation with 3G connectivity has a slightly bigger battery of 300 mAh that can last up to 2 days. Both variations can be charged through a charging dock, wirelessly.

On the other hand, the classic Samsung Gear 2 version sports traditional watch lugs which can mean that it can be suited with any strap that has a standard 20 mm pin. However, it also has branded connectors that might make it difficult to find compatible bands.

As for pricing the regular Samsung Gear 2 is relatively cheaper than the Apple watch at 299.99 USD, 428 AUD or 249 GBP. While the Classic version is priced starting at 349 USD, 499 AUD, or 249.99 GBP which notable is about the same price as that of Apple watches cheapest price.
