The Samsung Gear Circle Bluetooth headset and communicator announced a while back is now officially ready to make its retail debut in the U.S.

The intriguing Samsung Gear Circle looks pretty much like a necklace, but in fact consists of a pair of earbuds designed to be worn as a necklace. At the same time, the device also vibrates to alert the wearer of incoming notifications, as it connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

"On-the-go communication has never been easier with the introduction of Samsung Gear Circle. With a light-weight and sweat-resistant design, Gear Circle is a wireless stereo headphone that sits around your neck and gently vibrates to let you know when you are receiving an incoming call," Samsung explained in a press release on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

According to Samsung, the Gear Circle is suitable to be worn at all times, as it has a neat design and it is not at all intrusive. As previously mentioned, the headset connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, and allows users to remove the phone's ringtone and rely on the gentle vibrations of the Gear Circle to know when they are receiving a call.

The Samsung Gear Circle also comes with touch controls on its rear, allowing users to listen to music or switch between music and text-to-speech. In terms of compatibility, the headset works with the Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 4 to bring voice notifications with S Voice.

"Gear Circle supports Bluetooth-enabled devices and is equipped with intuitive touch controls for your active lifestyle. It also has a superior battery life with up to 9 hours and 11 hours of talk time," Samsung further touted. "To use, simply detach the earphones and put them to your ear. When listening to music, just attach the earphones back together to pause. Gear Circle also supports voice notifications using Text-to-Speech through S Voice command support for an added convenience."

When it comes to availability, the new Samsung Gear Circle is already on sale at select T-Mobile retail stores, and will hit AT&T, Samsung.com, and Amazon.com later this month, in black and blue color options. A white version of the headset, meanwhile, will be exclusively available from Best Buy.
