After learning some new details about the purported Motorola "Shamu" smartphone, the device has now leaked again posing for the camera alongside the LG G3.

This unannounced Motorola handset leaked on several occasions so far and is rumored to launch as the next-generation Google Nexus smartphone. Some reports claim the branding will be "Nexus X," as the "Nexus 6" name would pose some copyright issues.

The Motorola Shamu is rumored to sport a very similar design to the new Moto X (second generation), looking like a scaled-up version with a larger display. More specifically, the Shamu will reportedly boast a massive 5.92-inch screen with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which would translate to a pixel density of 498 pixels per inch (ppi).

Other rumored specs include a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, and a large 3,200 mAh battery to keep things up and running.

The purported Motorola Shamu has now leaked in a new image, this time posing for the camera alongside the LG G3. The photo first appeared in the comment section of an Android Police report, but it later popped up on XDA and Droid-Life as well. As seen in the image above, the Motorola Shamu looks significantly larger than the LG G3, and it has Motorola's "M" logo right underneath the rear camera.

The handset shown in this image doesn't have any Nexus branding on it, which is rather odd. Google typically slaps a big Nexus labeling on all devices part of its Nexus lineup, but this purported Motorola Shamu shows none. The Nexus branding may be hiding underneath the piece of paper with the name "Shamu" written on it, but it seems quite unlikely.

Another theory is that this Motorola Shamu will not launch as a Nexus device after all, but may instead arrive as the Moto S handset we've previously heard whispers about.

It all remains unclear for now, and everything is based solely on leaks and speculation at this point. There's no way to guarantee the accuracy of this newly-leaked image, and nothing is for certain until Google makes an official announcement. As always in such cases, take all leaks, rumors and speculation with a hefty grain of salt.
