Verizon Wireless is apparently getting ready to start offering the LG G2 in a white color option soon, according to a new leak.
The LG G2 is already available in two color options - black and white - from AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Verizon, however, has a habit of being late to the party, and so far it has only offered the black version of LG's latest flagship smartphone.
That may be about to change soon, as famous tipster @evleaks has posted an image of a white LG G2 with Verizon branding. While this is not official confirmation, it suggests that Big Red may finally start offering the white version of the LG G2 to its customers. Evleaks has a great track record when it comes to outing yet-to-be-announced news and products, proving to be accurate on numerous occasions.
"LG G2, looking striking in white, for Verizon," tweeted the tipster, without revealing any other details. This means that no release date is currently known, but Verizon Wireless will likely release this version soon.
Verizon is currently selling the LG G2 for $149.99, following a five-day period during which it offered the smartphone for free on a two-year contract. The price for the white version of the handset is expected to be the same as for the black version, considering that color is the only thing different.
The LG G2 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS+ display, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage capacity. Other specs include a high-end 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and LED flash, a powerful 3,000 mAh battery, and LTE support, among others.
The smartphone currently runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is expected soon. When it comes to Verizon, however, updates do tend to take longer than usual to roll out.
Keep in mind that as reliable as @evleaks may be, this does not mean the white LG G2 for Verizon is launching just yet. Until official confirmation from Verizon itself, take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt.
