The new Nexus 7 may hit the UK as soon as Aug. 24, as a retailer promises to have it delivered on that date.

Google's refreshed Nexus 7 is one of the hottest Android tablets of this year, but so far it has only been available for purchase in the U.S. It now seems that the UK is next in line and will get the slate soon enough.

Some retailers in the UK have already started taking pre-orders for the new Nexus 7, but initial rumors of a launch date were quite disappointing, suggesting a delayed release on Sept. 13. One retailer then claimed to get first stock on Aug. 28 and things started to look a bit brighter.

The same retailer now comes with even more exciting news, reducing the wait time by a few days. In its latest promotional email sent to subscribers, eBuyer claims the refreshed Nexus 7 is now guaranteed to be delivered as soon as Aug. 24. Eurodroid received the aforementioned email from eBuyer and published the image showing the 'guarantee,' as you can see above.

While this claim is unconfirmed at Google has yet to announce official availability dates for the new Nexus 7 in the UK, there's a good chance that this is real deal. Ebuyer is a well-known, reputable retailer and it seems unlikely that it would go out of its way to announce the new Nexus, complete with email guarantees and everything, if it was not sure it can deliver.

In other words, it seems that the new Nexus 7 will make its official debut in the UK on Aug. 24, as eBuyer is unlikely to have an exclusive on the slate, not even for a few days.

The new Nexus 7 is already up for pre-order from eBuyer and the retailer urges interested buyers to hurry if they're interested in securing the August 24 delivery date. Note that the aforementioned email gives the specific date, while the pre-order page simply mentions that "stock is arriving in August." The slate is available in 16GB and 32GB configurations for £199.98 and £239.99, respectively.
