The Oppo Find 5 is an impressive smartphone with high-end specs and features, but its successor, the Oppo Find 7, apparently has significantly greater things in store.

It's not as famous as Samsung Galaxy smartphones or Apple iPhones, but the Oppo Find 5 is certainly a great powerhouse with lots of things to offer. It is the "world's first 1080p smartphone," as the company markets it, sporting a 5-inch IPS LCD screen, a powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2,500 mAh battery, among other things.

The Oppo Find 5 successor, however, is expected to top all that and more, boasting far more exciting specs and features. It seems that Oppo has a thing for odd numbers, so the next-generation smartphone will reportedly come as the Oppo Find 7, not the Find 6. Chinese website RBMen (translated) apparently learned more details on Mobile.168 (translated).

According to the publication, the Oppo Find 7 will rock the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor at a yet-unknown clocking speed. The smartphone will reportedly sport a 5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and an impressive 8-megapixel front shooter, NFC capabilities and a whopping 4,000 mAh battery.

The massive battery should provide plenty of juice to keep the smartphone up and running considerably longer than other high-end handsets. The Samsung Galaxy S4, for instance, has a 5-inch screen as well, but its battery is only 2,600 mAh. Should this report prove to be true, the Oppo Find 7 will sport a significant improvement in the battery department. It remains unclear whether that huge battery will be removable or not.

The processor and camera departments also sport notable improvements over the company's current flagship, the Oppo Find 5, but other specs and features don't seem much different. The Oppo Find 7 will supposedly measure 9.9mm in thickness, which would be only slightly larger than the Find 5.

The next-generation Oppo Find smartphone is expected to launch sometime in id-September, but it remains unclear at this point which regions will get the handset. Oppo did not announce anything yet, so take things with a grain of salt until the company decides to officially unveil the purported Oppo Find 7.
