Many people use the Google search engine to search for porn material, but the search giant has a zero tolerance policy towards adult and sexually explicit content so far as Google Glass is concerned.

Even before the Google Glass has been commecially launched, Google has gone ahead and removed an adult application from its Google Glassware just hours after it was released.

Adult application developer MiKandi had developed a pornographic app called Tits & Glass, and had released it on the Google Glassware on June 3. However, the app was pulled off from the app store within hours as it did not adhere to the rules and regulations of the Google Glass.

"We don't allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material. Google has a zero-tolerance policy against child pornography. If we become aware of content with child pornography, we will report it to the appropriate authorities and delete the Google Accounts of those involved with the distribution," a section of Google Glass policy states.

The developer said that it had developed the application after checking the Google Glass policy, but apparently Google had included another section in the policy page without informing the developers.

"When we received our Glass and started developing our app 2 weeks ago, we went through the policy very carefully to make sure we were developing the app within the terms. We double checked again last week when making the site live on the Internet and available for install for testing during last week's announcement. We were not notified of any changes and still haven't been notified by Google. We also double checked our emails to see if any notifications of policy changes were announced, but we haven't found any such emails," said MiKandi CEO Jesse Adams, via a post on the company's official blog page.

The company claims that since the launch of the application, 61,000 people have visited the application page and the app has been downloaded over a dozen times.

However, as the application has been banned by Google, MiKandi is hopeful of making a come back to the Google Glassware by making some changes based on the new policy.

"At this point we must make changes to the app in order to comply with the new policies. Expect to see changes to the application tomorrow," the blog page stated.

MiKandi has an unenviable track record when it comes to rejection of applications. Its applications have earlier been rejected from Apple's App Store and Android app store as well. MiKandi's 'iBoobs' application was rejected by Apple in 2008 and later it was rejected by Google also. That time too, Google accepted the adult application after MiKandi made some changes in the content in 2011.

Talking about the user-friendliness of the Google Glass for recording anything, MiKandi co-founder and brand manager Jennifer McEwen told Mashable, "Unlike other hands-free recording devices, wearing Glass is easy and familiar."

"Because of that, you can forget about the technology on your head and be in the moment. The result is an authentic look at the wearer's experiences," she added.
