Some good news awaits all those who own a Galaxy Note in Canada and are looking forward to the upcoming Android Jelly bean refresh on their devices.
Per reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note is set to receive the anticipated Android Jelly Bean update for all the users living in Canada and subscribed to Rogers.
The Note owners will still have to wait a few weeks for the update to arrive. However, looking at Rogers’ OS upgrade schedule, it shows that the Galaxy Note SGH-I717R will receive the Jelly Bean refresh mid-March, which is actually right around the corner.
This will be the next biggest update for the Samsung Galaxy Note after the highly popular phablet got the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in July 2012. However, since Jelly Bean originally launched, Samsung Canada, alongside many other carriers, said that the device would see the update to Jelly Bean early 2013.
This is a new report, after Rogers started pushing out the Android Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S2. The Rogers-based Jelly Bean update had already been delayed for a couple of times in the past, and the company confirmed only last month that the new refresh for the S2 would arrive in late February.
With the new update, Google gets rid of the previous UI and brings the latest Nature UX Interface for users. Moreover, this interface is also the same as the one currently used in the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3 Mini, arriving alongside its latest Jelly Bean update.
Mid-March is not a solid date though, and the update schedule is subject to change, which happens all the time.
