Proxama, the leading provider of near field communications (NFC) mobile wallet and mobile marketing technology, has appointed Paul Butterworth as its new Head of Technical Sales. Paul will operate alongside the business development team providing technical sales support and guidance for Proxama's TapPointTM, Mobile Wallet and TrustManager products. The primary focus of his work will be with clients such as major network operators, voucher loyalty companies and integration partners

Prior to joining Proxama, Paul spent five years at ViVOtech where he was Technical Director for EMEA. He was heavily involved in the NFC software and hardware contactless acceptance terminals businesses. He was responsible for managing pre-sales, deployment, support and consultancy and provided local product management input for the EMEA market.

Paul has a wealth of experience in the payments and security sectors having also held positions at nCipher, ActivIdentity and VeriFone.
