HTC's top-end Windows Phone 8 (WP8) flagship HTC 8X soon may be available in another color option: white, per an image posted by the Taiwanese company on Twitter.
The HTC 8X launched in September last year and is one of the few WP8-powered smartphones that is gaining momentum in the smartphone space. Initially, the smartphone was launched in black, red and yellow and now it seems that it will soon be available in white.
HTC posted the image of the phone in white on its official Twitter account with the headline "Sometimes you just need to tune it all out. Let us help." The image shows a boy listening to music on his red HTC device and a couple of girls holding onto and looking at a white HTC smartphone, presumably the upcoming white HTC 8X.
"Looking at the flash placement and rounded corners, it certainly does look like an 8X. Then again, the soon-to-be-announced M7 is basically a larger 8X with the same design - one difference being flash placement, which does not match here. For that question, yes, this seems to be a white HTC 8X Windows Phone," reported WPCentral.
It seems that many smartphone enthusiasts are inclined towards a white smartphone, and many companies such as Apple, Samsung, Nokia and Sony are offering their smartphones in white as well. With the HTC 8X, it seems that the company does not want to miss out on the opportunity to attract more customers to its Windows flagship phone.
There is no official word from HTC to confirm if the handset in the picture is indeed the HTC 8X or any other model. It remains to be seen if HTC releases a new color for the HTC 8X.
