The Nexus 7 docking station made its first appearance before Christmas last year and reports indicated that the accessory will be available from January 2013. Now, per reports, Canadian online retailer Visions Electronics is selling the dock for $39.99.
The docking station provides a landscape docking solution for the Nexus 7 tablet. The docking station measures 8.6 x 2.6 x 1.2 inch (219.1 x 65.1 x 30.3 mm) and weighs 9.9 ounces (280 grams).
Users can also charge their Nexus 7 using the docking station, which has four pins on the side. The docking station also has audio out via a 3.5mm jack on the rear of the device.
There is no video connectivity option on the docking station, which means one cannot use the dock to play Google Play Store content on a bigger screen such as their TV. However, the docking station for the Nexus 7 also has microUSB port at the back.
"Put your Nexus 7 at the center of your life, this dock is tailor-made for Nexus 7. It simplifies charging via micro USB while you're using the tablet. A dedicated 3.5mm jack permits stereo output through speakers. The entire stand has been built to ensure a comfortable viewing angle for movies, web browsing, social networking, and other typical uses," notes Visions Electronics.
If you want to optimize your viewing experience of movies, photos, e-mails, and Web pages on your Nexus 7, then order your dock by visiting Visions Electronics.
