Nokia Lumia 920 was exclusive only to the EE network in the UK. Now, UK carrier Three has also announced that it will offer Nokia's popular Windows Phone 8 (WP8) smartphone, the Lumia 920, to its customers.

Three is also offering other WP8 phones like HTC 8X and HTC 8S. The addition of the 4.5-inch Lumia 920 to its WP8 smartphone portfolio will mean that more customers looking to buy a WP8 smartphone will divert to the network.

"We know you've all been waiting with bated breath for news of whether we'll be bringing you the Nokia Lumia 920, and it's easy to see why. So we hope you'll be thrilled to hear that we can confirm this rather marvellous, DC HSDPA enabled smartphone will soon be available with Three. Compatible with our Ultrafast network and packed full of features, it's a phone to be reckoned with," notes Three's official blog.

Three has a strong presence in the UK with its unlimited data plans. However, unlike EE, Three does not have 4G LTE connectivity which the carrier intends to introduce sometime in 2013.

Three did not confirm the exact release date for the Lumia 920 but the smartphone is expected to be released in February.

Interested customers can visit the "Coming Soon" section of Three's Web site and register their interest. They will get a notification once the smartphone is in stock.

Three also indicated that the Lumia 920 will be available both on new contracts as well as on eligible upgrades.
