Microsoft and Telltale Games have a holiday present for all Xbox 360 gamers. The first episode of the Game of The Year award winner 'The Walking Dead' is available for free on Xbox Live Arcade.

'The Walking Dead: A New Day', is the first episode in the popular series, and usually goes for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on Xbox Live Arcade. As a Christmas present to Xbox 360 gamers, Microsoft and Telltale Games did the unthinkable by making it free for a limited time; however, it wasn't mentioned when the title will return back to its original pricing.

The game has a total of five episodes, all costing 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 each. The Walking Dead is not FPS or an RPG. It is a point-and-click game where you get to make choices and the decisions you make, affect the course of the game. This genre of games has only been popular on the PC since they work better with a mouse and keyboard. It is safe to say consoles will indeed see a lot more point-and-click video games coming their way in the not too distant future, if not for current generation, then definitely for the next gen ones.

'The Walking Dead' is the highest rated game on the Xbox 360 for 2012. Who would have thought that in this day and age, a point-and-click game would have become so popular, especially with many gamers and critics believing that 'The Walking Dead' video game series does not deserve this much popularity.

If you're planning to download 'The Walking Dead', all you'll need is little over 400 megabyte free space, an Xbox Live account, and an Xbox 360. Click here to download the game and enjoy making a mess of things when Zombies come running.

The game is available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Apple iOS.
