U.S. retailer Best Buy has started to advertise the upcoming Boxing Day sale deals on iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and iPods in Canada. The retailer even has the latest iPhone 5 up for grabs for $0 on a three-year contract for its Canadian customers.
Boxing Day deals are usually observed by many retailers in Canada, the UK, and Australia and the retailers offer discounts on various products (similar to Black Friday deals in the U.S.).
Best Buy boxing day deals include discounts on select Apple products and users can have savings on all MacBooks Pro and MacBook Air models, as well as on the second, third, and fourth-generation of iPads, excluding iPad mini.
The retailer has announced that it will sell iPhone 5 for $0 on a three-year contract. The best deal found for the iPhone 5 in the U.S. is for $126 offered by Fry's and for just an extra $1 by Walmart. Best Buy has not confirmed the deals for other iDevices, but the wait won't be long as Dec. 26 is just round the corner.
The Boxing Day deal will be available through Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile Mall locations on Dec. 26.
Best Buy's Canadian Web site is currently closed and says "Our site is currently closed in order to get ready for our annual boxing day sale."
Online users can browse the Web site from 6PM EST Dec. 24 onwards and the sale officially starts at 8PM EST. Furthermore, Best Buy's FutureShop locations in Canada will be offering the same discounts.
"Like last year, Apple is also advertising a Boxing Week sale for Canadians on the iTunes store. This year Apple has a selection of new albums from artists such as Coldplay, Pink, Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, Drake, Skrillex, and Justin Bieber starting at around $6.90. While Boxing Day is recognized as a holiday on December 26th in Canada, retailers usually hold Boxing Week sales from Dec. 24 through Jan. 2," reported 9to5mac.
If you are based in Canada and are looking to buy an iDevice then just wait till the Best Buy Boxing day deal starts.
