Amazon's goal with "AI Ready," a ground-breaking program, is to provide 2 million people globally with the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI) by 2025.

The program is designed to serve both adult and juvenile learners.

As part of its pledge, Amazon will provide free AI training courses, remove financial obstacles, and guarantee that essential AI skill training is accessible.

Acknowledging artificial intelligence (AI) as a transformational force, Amazon aims to enable anybody willing to explore this field by democratizing access to education in the area, opening the door for the application of AI technology to address global issues.

With a partnership with Code.org and Udacity, Amazon's "AI Ready" initiative provides eight free AI courses over AWS, enabling more comprehensive access.

Although there is an excellent demand for AI expertise, 75% of businesses report a shortage and anticipate a 47% pay increase for qualified workers. The goal of this effort is to close the skills gap as organizations increasingly integrate AI.

Free Courses for AI Skills

To better equip professionals with the kind of professional skill sets that employers are looking for, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has released eight new free courses focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI.

These courses are intended for people of all backgrounds and skill levels, from foundational to advanced, and are intended for both technologists and business leaders.

"Introduction to Generative Artificial Intelligence," a basic primer on generative AI applications and critical ideas, including foundational models, is one of the courses targeted at corporate and non-technical audiences.

AWS Educate provides access to this course. AWS Skill Builder is another resource for the "Generative AI Learning Plan for Decision Makers," a three-course series focusing on developing an organization ready for generative AI implementation and planning a generative AI project.

Furthermore, participants in the "Introduction to Amazon CodeWhisperer" course learn how to use AWS Educate's AI code generator to generate entire lines of code.

Other Courses Available

There are many courses available for developers and individuals with technical inclinations. In order to provide inputs for generative AI tools, prompt engineering is a crucial skill, and "Foundations of Prompt Engineering" introduces students to its fundamentals.

This training is available through AWS Skill Builder and advances to advanced prompt tactics.

"Low-Code Machine Learning on AWS" examines how to use AWS Skill Builder to prepare data, train machine learning models, and deploy them without requiring complex coding or in-depth expertise in machine learning.

Additionally, the course "Building Language Models on AWS" focuses on using the distributed training libraries of Amazon SageMaker to build language models and refine foundational and open-source models hosted on AWS Skill Builder.

Approximately 50,000 underprivileged students can take Udacity's "Introducing Generative AI with AWS" course for free, thanks to AWS's allocation of roughly $12 million for Generative AI Scholarships.

Developed by AWS specialists, it provides basic ideas and real-world projects that lead to an Udacity certificate, improving chances of landing a job later on.
