Huawei has a significant task ahead of it, fulfilling the strong demand for its 5G Mate 60 Pro smartphones.

Analysts have noticed a spike in interest because it circumvents US restrictions by using revolutionary Chinese technology. But now, there is an extraordinary three-month wait list for this premium phone.

Pre-orders are a tactic the corporation has used to purchase time before securing sufficient supplies, as it is having trouble keeping up with demand.

One notable feature of the Mate 60 Pro is its highly confidential Kirin 9000s CPU, which makes it difficult to source parts and causes production delays.

A Downside on High Demand

Unexpectedly, Huawei announced a Mate 60 Pro subscription service that ensures a maximum of 90 days of wait time following orders submitted on their website.

Customers can only purchase one unit at a time, and shipments are made randomly throughout that period.

Due to the unusual combination of its cutting-edge processor, supply chain difficulties, and increased demand, Huawei has had to venture into uncharted territory and develop creative solutions to manage the overwhelmingly high level of customer interest in its most recent flagship smartphone.

Eight weeks after its August introduction, the Mate 60 series sold 2.4 million domestically, and by November 7, global shipments-led by the 5G Mate 60 Pro-had reached 2.5 million.

According to Counterpoint, Huawei's 5G phones sold third on Singles' Day.

Huawei's primary suppliers are actively hiring production line workers for the Mate 60 Pro in order to satisfy the increasing demand.

Huawei's Latest Launch Leaves Mate 60 Details in the Dark

Huawei's last product presentation caused controversy on the internet for omitting important information regarding the Mate 60 smartphone series. Viewers were dissatisfied with the event, which they had expected to provide insights on overturning US sanctions and the characteristics of the Mate 60.

Users noticed that the Mate 60 Pro had 5G capability and used a Chinese processor despite its earlier quiet debut.

Even while the finale waved Mate 60 phones symbolically, many were perplexed by the lack of Mate 60 talks, which prompted discontent on Weibo.

Huawei quickly corrected the post-event prices for the Mate 60 Pro+ and Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design models, but it would not comment on the omission.

Analysts surmised that the topic's controversial character, combined with the continuous pressures of fitting a variety of items into a two-hour launch event, was the reason for the avoidance.

In a positive state, Huawei partnered with China Mobile to establish a groundbreaking 3,000-kilometer internet network, achieving an unparalleled data transmission speed of 1.2 terabits per second.

This marks one of the world's fastest networks, surpassing typical 1-gigabit rates. At the same time, areas in the US and Japan access 10-gigabit speeds, but global access to 1-gigabit still needs to be improved. The 1.2-terabit speed is 1,200 times faster, enabling rapid downloads of 100 GB games in seconds, eliminating freezing and lag.

Availability for regular users remains undisclosed, leaving current speeds as the norm for now.
