Logitech has a reputation of making some of the best accessories for the current generation iPads, and its recently unveiled Slim Folio keyboard case for the 9.7-inch iPad just cemented its notoriety. The new keyboard case's selling point? A whopping four-year battery life.

This incredible feat is achieved by resorting to replaceable coin cell batteries, which are paired with a smart power management system rather than adopting the regular rechargeable lithium-ion cells. According to the Swiss tech firm, the batteries are unlikely to run out anytime before two years even with a couple of hour's daily use.

Logitech's new iPad keyboard case sports a sleek and lightweight design making it readily portable. Its dimensions are 7.20 in (182 mm) x 9.80in (248.0 mm) x .80 in (20 mm) (Height x Width x Depth), and it weighs in at 1.54 lbs (700 g). Moreover, the case warrants an all-encompassing protection against scratches, bumps, and splashes, according to TheChristianPost.

The practical looking keyboard sports a standard physical arrangement, placing a series of iOS hotkeys on top. It can also be folded over the back of the case to support an iPad like a laptop, as it stays put in place with the help of magnets. On the downside, the stand comes with only one angle, and the keyboard is non-detachable as well.

As far as typing is concerned, the Logitech Slim Folio's keyboard sports a 1.5 mm key travel. Its layout bears a striking resemblance to a laptop keyboard, complete with aptly-spaced keys and shortcuts for easy access to specific settings. The highly durable keyboard can repel nearly five million strokes in its lifespan.

According to 9To5Mac, the Slim Folio will be up for grabs for $99, which is quite reasonable considering the keyboard is robust enough to be used daily. Those looking to pre-order Logitech's Slim Folio case can head straight to the company website.
