The 2017 iteration of Huawei's Y3 entry-level handset has found its way on the internet in the form of a few pages from the device's user manual via FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

The successor to 2016's Y3 II, the Huawei Y3 (2017) will be a low-priced smartphone. The device recently made an appearance on SlashLeaks (via GSM Arena), giving smartphone enthusiasts a brief glimpse of its cosmetic appearance as well as the SIM slots buried under the back panel.

If the recently surfaced images are anything to go by, the Huawei Y3 (2017) will not sport buttons or touch-sensitive keys on its surface, meaning the control buttons will be integrated into the UI (user interface). Nevertheless, the Huawei logo can be seen sitting below the display. Aside from that, there's camera, sensors and the earpiece in the front.

The traditional 3.5-mm headphone jack rests on the top of the Huawei Y3 (2017), while the power button and volume rocker are situated on the sides of the smartphone. As far as the rear panel is concerned, it sports a circular camera lens along with a single flash, which sits on the right and a circular speaker, which is positioned on the left. The bottom of the phone houses the USB port, according to a report from BGR.

Huawei Y3 (2017) Specifications & Features

The entry-level smartphone seems to come with the ability to handle dual-SIM setup. The Y3's user manual also points to two models -- one featuring two SIM card slots and one with a single SIM card slot. If this comes to fruition, the two-slot version will not have any slots that can support both SIM and microSD cards.

It's worth noting that a fingerprint sensor is missing in this leak. A couple of other leaked photos give us a peek at the device's sides, suggesting that the back is removable.

Based on the fact that the previous model came with a removable battery, and bearing the instruction manual's picture that shows how to insert the MicroSD and SIM cards in mind, AndroidHeadlines points to a possibility that the 2017 version of the Huawei Y3 smartphone will stick to the tradition and feature a removable battery.

Details regarding the Y3's Specification are scarce. It can be recalled the last year's model packed the MediaTek MT6582M processor, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage under the hood. The screen of the 2016 model featured 480 by 854 pixels resolution. It came with a 5MP camera on the rear and 2MP front snapper.

Taking the difference between 2016's model and its predecessor into consideration, it seems safe to say that the Huawei Y3 (2017) will experience a modest bump as far as processing power, RAM, and screen resolution is concerned. The device will likely run on a more recent version of Android mobile operating system as well.
