Undeniably, Apple is one of the biggest tech giants nowadays and its products, such as the iPhone, are one of the most sought after devices in the market. Quality and performance do not come cheap, so it is expected that the price of an iPhone will probably exceed $750.

The average selling price of iPhone in the USA is $675, however, when 2018 comes, it is perceived to soar up to $750 or even higher. Katy Huberty, an analyst at Morgan Stanley said in her research note that next year, iPhone is estimated price would be $753. This is much higher than $675 Street's consensus.

The Cupertino-based company is said to unveil a high-end iPhone this coming September and it is speculated that this will cost $1000, for additional attributes that are not seen on previous iPhone models. According to Huberty, this would have a more power efficient OLED display, which is more vibrant and bright but consumes lesser battery life, along with 3D sensors. Probably it will also come with new curved form and feature wireless charging. According to Wccftech, said that its radical design will have a reduced percentage of bezels. Having this will match what Samsung had with Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Possessing these kinds of features will really cost high and Apple is expected to make up with this.

Huberty also added that during the holiday season, the average selling price of iPhone at $675 increases up to $695. This trend is due to customers urge to own an Apple phone.

There is a clear path to supercycle, which Huberty has seen. She said that those group of people, which can't be considered few only, who are hanging on to their older phones will be much ready to have an upgrade once Apple launches a brand new high-end iPhone, says Business Insider.

Lastly, Huberty said that their upgrade analysis points to base case of 260M, top down, to 264M, bottom up, demand during the FY18 Supercycle with implied 7 percent upside currently forecasted consensus of 242M. This covers the regions where iPhone shipments are 96 percent in CY16.
