LG G6 Specifications
It can be recalled that the G6 was launched in South Korea with a price tag of KRW 899,800 (about $791). The G6's selling point is its 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display with 1440x2880 pixels resolution and an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio, contrary to industry standard (16:9). Optimized for the 18:9 aspect ratio, the LG G6 smartphones features the new UX 6.0.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 SoC fires up the G6, which packs 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, under the hood. Furthermore, the G6 was launched in two storage versions i.e. 32GB and 64GB. The storage on the device can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card, Gadgets 360 reported.
In the photography front, the LG G6 sports a dual-camera setup at the back with two 13MP sensors; one for wide-angle shots (125-degree lens and f/2.4 aperture) and the other for regular shots (71-degree lens and OIS 2.0). At the front, there is a 5MP camera which is equipped with f/2.2 aperture and 100-degree lens.
The LG G6 is backed by a non-removable 3,300mAh battery, which is a departure from the previously launched LG devices that usually came with removable batteries. In terms of dimensions, the G6 measures 148.9x71.9x7.9mm and it weighs in at 163 grams.
As far as the network is concerned, the device supports LTE-A 3 Band CA. The LG G6 offers a slew of connectivity options including USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible), NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, News18 reported.
The LG G6 was announced as the first smartphone that supports Dolby Vision at the time of its arrival. The device comes with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, which basically converts digital to analog for enhanced radio playback.
The smartphone features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It's also worth noting that the LG G6 has cleared the MIL-STD 810G military standard certification for durability.
