Windows 10 long-awaited update is slated to roll out on Tuesday, April 11. It is highly likely that numerous users would rush to get their hands on the big annual update; however, it is imperative for users to know a few details regarding the update and what they should do in order to prepare.
The Creators Update is free so there's no need to give the download a second thought. Besides, running the latest edition of your operating system is one of the best things you can do to keep your computer in good condition. Although Microsoft will never cease rolling out updates for older versions, the easiest way to keep your machine updated is to download the Creators Update.
The 'Creators Update' derives its name from the creative-people-oriented features that have been loaded into Windows. For instance, Paint has a new 3D mode, which allows users to first draw a 2D object and then extrapolate it into a 3D model in a jiffy, BGR reported.
The company is also beefing up Microsoft Edge, a web browser developed by the Redmond-based tech titan. Microsoft Edge is more battery and resource-efficient as compared to Google's Chrome browser, and the new update brings in a new feature that allows users to organize and group tabs without breaking much of a sweat.
By default, the Edge browser blocks some Flash elements and a user just needs to click to run the blocked content, but that's not all. The Edge also comes with built-in support for Microsoft Wallet which lets users buy things online, TheGuardian reported.
Now, operating Windows 10 will be child's play thanks to a new upgrade to Cortana, Microsoft's intelligent personal assistant. Cortana will be able to assist users with setting up a new PC, upgrading or installation process when updating their device.
Cortana will help users set up their device when downloading and installing new applications. This exciting change was first spotted by TheVerge's senior editor Tom Warren, who shared this information online via a tweet.
It's worth noting that tech-savvy users can switch from voice control whenever they want to, but the move would definitely come in handy for those who are not well-acquainted with the installation process.
