It's no secret that leading phone manufacturers need to constantly adopt cutting edge technology in order to lure more and more consumers. While nothing is off limit when it comes to beefing up smartphones with high-end specs and features, Alcatel may have just taken things to the next level with its latest smartphone dubbed, Flash.

Selfie addicts have been clamoring for the ability to skillfully blur their selfies the same way they can with their rear camera shots and much to their delight, the Alcatel Flash has answered their prayers. The first phone harnessed with two cameras on the front and two on the back, the Flash comes with 8MP and 5MP lenses, which let users fine-tune the focus and blur level of the selfies giving them more control over the photos they post on social media and share with friends.

As if that weren't enough, the Alcatel Flash comes with a front-facing flash as well. Also, the rear-facing cameras feature 13MP sensors; one is color and the other is monochromatic, according to TheVerge.

Alcatel Flash flaunts its symmetrical design in style, with the back cover showing off brushed metal texture and diamond cut bezels. The device boasts a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The screen is protected by super tough Dragontrail and fingerprint-resistant Oleophobic coating, TheIndianExpress reported.

While top-notch handset makers are adopting new features on the photography front to take on their rivals, CNet's Jessica Dolcourt believes Alcatel's ability to benefit from the trend could compel other smartphone manufacturers to go in for identical software and hardware techniques. Furthermore, the Alcatel Flash comes with a deca-core Helio X20 MT6797 processor.

While all this sounds great, the bad news is that Alcatel will be exclusively selling the Flash in the Middle East; especially Jordan and Saudi Arabia, at least for now. Depending on the response it gets from selfie addicts, Alcatel's other phones are likely to resort to this tech sooner rather than later.
