Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air gets an upgrade. The newly announced device received enhancements as well as upgraded specs.
In 2016, Xiaomi announced the two variants of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. The variants come in two screen sizes and two different Intel processors. The sixth generation Intel core M3 processor runs the 12.5-inch Mi Notebook. Intel Core i5 processor, on the other hand, drives the 13.3-inch.
Just recently, the Chinese manufacturer announced an upgraded version of the Xiaomi Mi 12.5-inch Notebook Air. The company took the announcement through their official account in Weibo.
The new Xiaomi Mi 12.5-inch Notebook Air is now powered by seventh generation Intel Core M3 processor, which improved the device's performance by 12 percent as compared to the previous version. In addition, the Ram was increased to 4GB. Furthermore, the internal storage of the new Xiaomi Mi 12.5-inch Notebook Air is bumped up to 256 GB. The previous version released in 2016 only has 128 GB.
In terms of design, nothing has improved and it still looked like its predecessor. It sports a slim 12.9mm thin profile with 1.07 kg weight. The device supports fast charging like its previous version and its battery can last for 11.5 hours with a nominal use on a single charge, according to Gizmo China.
Xiaomi will start the registration of the new Xiaomi Mi 12.5-inch Notebook Air at 10 AM starting March 30 on their website. The 2016 version of the 12.5-inch variant is priced at $507; the company as of this writing has not yet disclosed the price of the latest version.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi, according to several speculations is working on its flagship phones the Xiaomi Mi6 and the Mi 6 plus. The flagships allegedly will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. These devices reportedly will be released in April 2017.
