Noises about Microsoft Surface Pro 5 don't seem to die out despite the lack of an official announcement. In fact, recently surfaced leaks have added more fuel to the already burning rumors about the upcoming 2-in-1 detachable.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Specs & Features

Lining with this, new leaks suggest that the Surface Pro 4 successor will pack AMD's latest processor and not the long-rumored Kaby Lake processor from Intel, the rumor stems from a tweet from Robo-Lobster (@RoboLobster). The Twitter user shared a link to "Alien: Covenant" trailer on YouTube, where Surface Pro 5 is seen using an AMD processor (at 0:58 on the video footage shown below).

Packed with an array of robust specs, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to feature Windows biggest update i.e. the Windows 10 Creators Update. The Pro 5 is also expected to come with a 4K resolution detachable display; a feature that multimedia fans would definitely delight in.

Even the Pro 5's Surface Pen is said to have undergone a radical overhaul, thanks to the leaked patents that hinted at a new Surface Pen equipped with rechargeable ability, which seems to aptly complement the Surface Pro 5, SmartStockNews reported.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date

The Redmond-based tech giant is offering the Surface Pro 4 at alluring discounted prices through its online store. Those looking to get their hands on the powerful tablet can check this Microsoft online store to avail up to $200 discount. Optimistic tech enthusiasts allude to this huge discount as an indication that the Pro 5 is just around the corner since its precursor is already trying to move out of the warehouse.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5's association with its much-speculated component; the Microsoft HoloLens, also points to an April launch. If rumors running rampant online are anything to go by, the upcoming iPad Pro rival could come equipped with the first self-contained, holographic computer; HoloLens, which enable users to have a go at their digital content while interacting with holograms in the world around them.

Since Microsoft HoloLens is expected to debut on March 30, some reports claim the Surface Pro 5 will most likely hit the store shelves the following month i.e. in April. However, other sources say the HoloLens will not get included in the Pro 5 release, but it might still include support for the headset. The reason behind this is the fact that it is not actually made for mass consumer use due to its restrictive pricing.

Furthermore, since Windows 10 Creators Update is also scheduled to roll out on April 11, there's a possibility that the Surface Pro 5 could arrive in the same month. More details about the purported successor of the Surface Pro 4 are likely to find their way on the internet as we the tablet's rumored April launch draws near.
