Guerrilla Games has released Patch 1.03 for "Horizon Zero Dawn" giving improvements on the game's baseline performance. Meanwhile, the game has ranked no. 1 in UK's Top 10 chart last week.
The new patch PS4 and PS4 Pro weighs 227.9MB as reported by Express Online, slowed down the response time of the camera movements and the motion blur when the player is spinning the camera. Both changes mentioned are based the player's observation after adding the patch including the POV, which is now closer to Aloy.
The patch intends to improve the players' overall experience of the game, however, the report says that it doesn't say very much. The change log for "Horizon Zero Dawn" Patch 1.03 only says multiplayer crash and progression fixes.
Feedback from the fans mentioned that Hunter Blind glitch is still not addressed, a bug that affects the quest regarding collecting a snap may heart. Other encounter a bug that causes the game's opening cinematic to crash, preventing them to watching it.
Fortunately, the news has reached the developer and now working on an update to address the opening cinematic issue. They also assure their fans that they are looking at the issue and making it as its "highest priority."
Meanwhile, prior to the release of the patch, the game has made a smash hit in the UK charts. "Horizon Zero Dawn" made it to number 1 in its first week of release, pushing Nintendo's "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" to number 2.
According to the UK-based news site MCV, the game also benefitted from the additional extra days that went on sale giving it a longer run at retail compared to its rivals.
