With a few more days to go before the Nintendo Switch March 3 official shipping date, a number of video game fans are still fighting for pre-order slots. For those who are still not able to preorder the new hybrid console, Best Buy and GameStop will be selling limited stocks of the Switch.

Despite assurances from Nintendo that the Nintendo Switch supplies are enough to meet the demands of video game fans, almost all major retailers have gone out of stock just a few hours after the Switch pre-order opened. Though restocks were made, still the retailers are unable to meet the demand for the hybrid console.

Due to the limited stocks available in major retailers, a number of Nintendo fans have resulted to pre-ordering the Nintendo Switch on third party retailers. These third party retailers often sell the Switch for a higher price compared to the Nintendo imposed Switch retail price.

For those who are unable to pre-order Nintendo Switch, GameStop and Best Buy will both be conducting a separate Switch midnight launch events. Both retailers will be selling limited numbers of the new Nintendo hybrid video game console to walk-in customers.

Best Buy will reportedly handle the Nintendo Switch walk-in sale the same way as how the retailer handled its Black Friday sale. A limited number of tickets, representing the stocks available, will be handed to customers who were first in line. Each customer will only be allowed to purchase one unit.

Aside from the walk-in sale, GameStop will also offer two Nintendo Switch bundles. The offer will go live on March 2, on the same night that the Switch launch event will be held.

More than 600 Best Buy stores will participate in the Nintendo Switch walk-in sale. GameStop may only offer less than ten Switch consoles for its walk-in customers.
