With the success of the popular Japanese anime "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 1 on Netflix, an official confirmation for season 2 was also in process. It seems like, the season 2 has officially been confirmed for a release this February on Netflix. The streaming entertainment firm advertised "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 OVA through a banner.

As noted by Anime News Network, Netflix was rumored to air "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 OVA 17th of February, 2017 for which they advertised the season via a banner. But, it seems like the fans of the show claimed that Netflix made a mistake in and the OVA "Signs of Holy War" will be aired instead.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 will return with the cast members Meliodas (Yuki Kaji), Third Princess Elizabeth (Sora Amamiya), Hawk (Misaki Kuno), Ban (Tatsuhisa Suzuki), King (Jun Fukuyama), Gilthunder (Mamoru Miyano), Griamor (Takahiro Sakurai), Hauser (Ryohei Kimura), Merlin (Maaya Sakamoto), and Gowther (Yuuhei Takagi) as cited by Inquisitr.

Moreover, "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 OVA plot will focus on new threats at the Kingdom of Leonas where the princess and the deadly sin knights along with Hawk were enjoying their peaceful lives. We saw in the first season how princess Elizabeth travels with the sin Wrath to find the rest of the disbanded sin knights. Her objective was to reunite them and ask for their help in taking back her realm from the traitor holy knights. But, it seems like peace in her kingdom is not going to stay for long. New threats are coming up in the season 2 scheduled to air on Netflix.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 OVA "Signs of Holy War" is a licensed anime series under Netflix with home video rights owned by Funimation as well.
