In the latest episode of “Blue Bloods,” Season 7 a guest appearance by Linda Reagan’s brother-in-law Jimmy was given to fans and viewers. Jimmy is a struggling troubled guy in need of assistance. The struggle became all too real as the audience saw how helpless he seemed to have been.

“Blue Bloods,” which stars Donnie Wahlberg, is set to return on March 10. For avid fans and viewers of the show, this seems to be a long wait because other CBS shows took a shorter period of time to wait for their return. The delay has been attributed to the show’s shorter episode order—much shorter than “Hawaii Five-O” whereas “MacGyver” is set to air little bit earlier in order to give way for “The Amazing Race” on about May of this year.

The upcoming “Blue Bloods” Season 7 episode is entitled “Shadow of a Doubt.” The preview of this latest episode appears to be very revealing and has fueled speculations about what is about to unfold in the series’ universe.

The synopsis of the episode goes [roughly] like this. Jamie and Eddie suspects a foul play lurking around when they responded to a distress call from a woman who was reported to have incurred an allergic reaction to her medications. In the process, it was learned that her husband, an EMT, failed to respond to the distress call. For her part, Erin learns that a man that was convicted by her previously might be innocent of the crime of which she has accused and convicted him. For his part, Frank deals with a PR crisis that has befallen his department due to a published exposes on Garrett Moore.

The seeming shift in focus on Jamie and Eddie in the story appears to be a breath of fresh air for fans and viewers of the show. What remains uncertain, however, is what Donnie might be up to in the upcoming episode of “Blue Bloods” Season 7. Fans are hopeful that focus and attention will shift back to him in the subsequent episodes of the hit series.
