Leaked pictures of the iPhone 5 continue to make headway ahead of the rumored September 12 announcement that is expected to bring forth officially the iPhone 5. These new photos show what is said to be an iPhone in a side-by-side comparison with an iPhone 3GS and an iPhone 4S.

The outer casing of the iPhone 5 in these images seem to be quite thinner than both the iPhone 3GS, and 4S. Because of the bigger display, the iPhone 5 is slightly taller, but not tall enough as expected for something with a rumored 4-inch display.

There is also a hole right between the camera lens and the LED flash. It is not certain what that hole represents, but it seems to be something that could be for taking better pictures. What else could it be?

The iPhone 5 is expected to be unveiled on September 12, and be available for sale a week after on September 21.
