Just days before Nokia unveils its first set of Windows Phone 8 devices at an event on September 5th, information about Nokia Lumia 820 and the Nokia Lumia 920 has been leaked out to The Verge. Just days after the images of both the Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 were leaked by some unknown source, and more information surfaces, information that will have your excitement level skyrocketing through the roof at 100 miles per hour.
The specifications of the Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia devices have long been a thing of great discussion. However, it now seems there is something concrete we all can sit and talk about. According to sources who contacted The Verge, the Nokia Lumia 920 will have a 4.5-inch HD display, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB internet storage, 8 megapixel PureView camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, and Wireless Charging support.
The only thing that was leaked about the Nokia Lumia 820, is the Wireless Charging support. Nothing else was forthcoming.
Many users, who are awaiting a Nokia Lumia Windows Phone device with PureView onboard, could be highly disappointed. The Nokia PureView 808 smartphone that ran on Symbian Belle, featured a 41-megapixel PureView camera, while if what The Verge sources are saying is true, the Nokia Lumia 920 will only be 8 megapixels. This could mean for a serious dip in performance compared to the original PureView smartphone, so unless Nokia found a way to improve the technology dramatically, there is a chance future users might not be pleased.
Come Sept. 5, Nokia with the help of Microsoft will officially unveil both the Nokia Lumia 820 and the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8-based smartphones. Nokia is also expected to highlight its first Windows 8 tablet computers branded Lumia, and or a revision of the Booklet.
