With two new Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices expected to be unveiled at the Nokia World Event in New York, gizmo buffs are awaiting Sept. 5 with bated breath. A recently released video teaser adds to the mêlée with hints that the Windows Phone 8 devices may incorporate PureView camera technology.

On Wednesday, Aug. 29, Nokia released a teaser video for its joint event with Microsoft which proclaims that "things are about to change". The 21-second long video features a female cyclist riding around a shipyard. The footage discloses little else, except that the font for the "things are about to change" message is identical to the one the company used prior to the PureView launch.

Experts say that the video was likely shot on a smartphone and aims at promoting the Windows Phone platform. It could well be a sign of things to come - a Lumia smartphone with a 41-megapixel sensor.

The teaser could be an indication that Nokia intends on expanding its PureView line-up of phones, best known for its high-end monster camera, which may well include the two anticipated Windows Phone 8 devices. The Finnish company's PureView 808 is currently the only released smartphone in this line up and features a mammoth 41-megapixel rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss Optics.

Additionally, Nokia has hinted that its new line of Windows 8 smartphones may include PureView camera technology. Leaked images of the alleged Nokia PureView Windows Phone 8 devices indicate a design which is similar to its Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 smartphones.

Nokia is known for manufacturing sturdy and sophisticated devices renowned for their design. With Microsoft's new software and PureView technology on board, Nokia may well have a flagship device that will live up to its promise of change.
