The Samsung Unpacked event is barely a day away, but that has not stopped the rumor mills from doling out additional fodder. Ahead of the Galaxy Note 2's anticipated official launch, a South Korean newspaper has leaked the specs of the hotly-awaited "phablet".

Seoul News published the purported spec sheet for the Galaxy Note 2. If the spec sheet is authentic, the Galaxy Note 2's specifications are more or less in keeping with the circulating rumors.

The leak indicates that the phablet will come with a 5.5 inch super AMOLED display with 1280×720 resolution, bypassing the 5.3-inch screen of the original Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note 2 will be LTE-enabled and will be available in the 16/32GB variants. The phablet is also expected to ship with the latest Android platform - Jelly Bean.

However, the leaked specs sheet does not map entirely to the rumored Galaxy Note 2 specs and features. The spec sheet suggests that a 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core processor will power the device, whereas rumors have pointed to a 1.6GHz quad-core processor. Moreover, rumors have indicated that the phablet will sport a 12 or 13-megapixel camera, whereas the leaked spec sheet proclaims that the Galaxy Note 2 will have an 8-megapixel one.

The Galaxy Note 2 is set to make its debut at the IFA 2012 in Berlin on Aug. 29.
