"The Blacklist" Season 4 spoilers are noting on the possibility that Red (James Spader) may soon be bidding the show farewell. As seen in the latest episode of the NBC series titled "Family Ties," Red had to track down an assassin who killed some of his associates, including one of his trusted employees.

While the team was able to successfully capture the assassin, TVGuide.com recaps that "The Blacklist" Season 4 episode ended with what appears to be an ominous sign. Red gave Liz a cuckoo clock to give to Agnes and explained that the clock was good because the focus is on the sound of the birds and not on the time itself.

The publication notes on the possibility that this is a hint on Red's future in "The Blacklist" Season 4 and may have something to do with the clock ticking for him. Red may be one of the major characters in the show, but dramas nowadays do not shy away from killing off its lead characters.

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" Season 4 is setting off the stage for Ryan Eggold's exit for the spinoff series, "Redemption," which will focus on Tom Keen. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show's writers explained that viewers will still see his character every now and then.

They also teased that "The Blacklist" spinoff series will explain immediately the mystery behind Tom and his family unlike the flagship series' mystery surrounding Red and Liz's (Megan Boone) relationship. The spinoff series, "Redemption," will be airing on Feb. 23.
