"The Walking Dead" season 7 survivors are under the brutal hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the newest disturbed person antagonizing Rick Grimes. In previous seasons, one antagonist tried to conquer the apocalypse world in the person of The Governor (David Morissey) .

Speaking to CinemaBlend to promote Starz's mystery drama "The Missing" season 2, Morissey gave his thoughts on who is the ultimate "The Walking Dead" villain saying that Negan and The Governor can't exist together. "I think they would have to take each other on and you know, it's obvious that there would be one winner in that and that would be The Governor," he said.

Morissey went on to say that there's not any normal person that would argue on The Governor being the ultimate "The Walking Dead" villain and there have been many people came in to be like him but nobody can ever take the crown away and that Negan can't certainly take it. "He's bad, but no one was like The Governor," he added.

Many people might just argue with Morissey's boasting The Governor as the greatest villain in the zombie apocalypse series but then, this is not an issue of pride and arrogance as The Governor was the overall one-eyed threat for all survivors even before Negan and Lucille conquered the town. Just like Negan, The Governor had been in charge of a large community long before Rick started.

Negan, on the other hand, has been consistent with his ways looking for something to get people in trouble while The Governor wasn't always like that making him more measured and less reckless. This could be one reason how he stayed as "The Walking Dead" antagonist for as long as he did.

Meanwhile, a new footage for "The Walking Dead" midseason has been dropped before the series returns tonight, Feb. 12 that shows Rick and his group checking out a chain of explosives being tied to a device. Watch it below.
