The Japanese tech giant Sony is expected to introduce its 9.4-inch Sony Xperia Tablet during the IFA event in Berlin next week. Fueling the Xperia Tablet launch rumors are recently leaked pictures of three of its accessories.
If the leaked pictures are to be believed, then Sony will be offering a music stand, called the Media Dock, a desktop stand, and a keyboard case.
The Music Stand or Media Dock
When the Xperia Tablet is connected to the Media Dock, users will be able to amplify sound coming from the device. The dock is also expected to offer a remote control.
The Desktop Stand
The desktop stand will enable the Sony Xperia Tablet to stand in both portrait and landscape modes. Most stands available for tablets usually support landscape positioning alone.
The Keyboard Case
The leaked pictures reveal a QWERTY keyboard case for the Xperia Tablet. This accessory will target those tablet users who prefer using physical keys instead of on-screen typing. This additional accessory will make typing easier and faster.
The Sony Xperia Tablet will pack a 9.4 inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 800. The device will sport an aluminum body measuring 8.8mm at its thinnest part. A quad-core1.4GHz Tegra 3 processor, with 1GB of RAM, will power the tablet. The device houses a 6000mAh battery giving its users up to ten hours of productivity. The rear-facing camera is 8-megapixel along with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
With other tablet makers heating up the tablet arena, the question remains if the additional accessories of the Sony Xperia Tablet are enough pip competition.
